ABOUT LADY ZHE

Classically trained, deeply rooted, and always electric.

Lady Zhe is an improvisational, fusion-jazz electric violinist who reads music and plays by ear — sharing her God-given musical gift with the world to inspire, encourage and entertain.

Born out of Long Beach, California, Lady Zhe is a product of the Long Beach Unified School District and an alumna of Long Beach Polytechnic High School. She earned two Bachelor of Science degrees — one in Music and one in Management Science with an emphasis in Information Technology — from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Though classically trained, her roots are in gospel music — and it shows. She brings a rare sensitivity and passion to the five-string electric violin, improvising across jazz, classical and every genre of melodic music in between. Once you hear and see Lady Zhe, you know you are in the presence of a performer who plays from the heart.

“Once you hear and see Lady Zhe you will know this performer loves to improvise in jazz and other genres of melodic music.”
